Clay County Public Health Center offers a wide range of clinic services. Some services are available to everyone, some to Clay County residents only and others are for residents who are uninsured, underinsured or on Medicaid. Some services are age restricted.
Rodgers Health can help families and individuals apply for Medicaid or CHIP health coverage. Representatives are located in Liberty and Excelsior Springs within Clay County and in Parkville within Platte County. In addition, Family Support Division is at the Clay County Public Health Center on Thursdays on a walk-in basis to assist with Medicaid resources, food stamps, adult disability, temporary aid to needy families, childcare applications and other social service related information and referrals.
Samuel U. Rodgers a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) offers comprehensive dental clinic services for children and adults in the Northland. The dental clinic accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and most private insurance. For the uninsured, fees for dental care are on a sliding scale.
The WIC program provides nutrition and health services to pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children up to their 5th birthday based on nutritional risk and income eligibility.
