Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Services

Appointments for STD services are currently offered Monday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm. Please call 816-595-4261 to schedule.

Our STD clinic will not be scheduling appointments May 3-7. Visit the Platte County Health Department, the Kansas City Health Department or Jackson County Health Department if needed or we would be happy to schedule an appointment for you the following week.
Many people with STDs do not have any symptoms at all; that is why it is important to get regular testing. Our STD clinic offers confidential, low-cost HIV and STD testing, counseling and treatment for adults and teens. Note: Parental permission is not required for STD testing for teens.

Please do not urinate for one hour prior to getting tested for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea.

Our STD clinic tests for:
  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhea
  • HIV
  • Syphilis
Our STD clinic treats all positive test results and contacts for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and Syphilis.

How Long to Wait Before STD Testing

For Chlamydia and Gonorrhea testing, it is important to wait three weeks after a possible exposure to get tested. For HIV testing, it is important to wait at least four weeks after a possible exposure to get tested.

Please wait three weeks after you have finished any antibiotic treatment before making your appointment. For Chlamydia and Gonorrhea testing, antibiotics can cause the result to be inaccurate.

Clinic Fees

Payment is expected at the time of visit and self-pay fees will apply as we do not accept health insurance for testing. No one is denied services due to inability to pay. Call 816-595-4261 for additional details or any questions you may have.
