All pools, spas, hot-tubs, whirlpool baths, spray grounds and other water recreation attractions must have a qualified operator as evidenced by completion of approved training. The certificate of a qualified operator should be available onsite for inspectors to verify during inspections. Each class begins at 9:00 a.m. and will last about 2 hours. The cost for this training is $27, and a certificate valid for 3 years will be issued upon successful completion. Please call (816) 595-4350 to enroll. If you are unable to attend the CCPHC class, the National Swimming Pool Foundation Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification, or the National Recreation and Parks Association Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification will satisfy the requirement as an approved training for pool operators in Clay County.
