Health Education Display Volunteer

Time Commitment:

Varies depending on project
As many days or hours a week or month as available
On-site weekdays and after-hours options

   
Major Objective: Create and/or update educational displays on a variety of health promotion and disease prevention issues.   
   
Duties:  ·        Research health topics and issues or use materials prepared
         by staff.
·
        Design and create educational posters and displays for exhibit
         at the Clay County Public Health Center or a variety of Clay
         County community locations  Health Center (materials
         provided or supplies reimbursed by CCPHC).
   
Requirements:   ·        Mature individuals
·
        Ability to follow instructions and work independently
·
        Able to communicate effectively
·
        Creative, artistic interests or talents
·
        Knowledge of computer graphic design programs (optional)
·
        Willingness to learn
   
Training:

Basic orientation and on-site staff training.

   
Supervision: Under direct supervision of Health Planning and Promotion Department Program Managers in conjunction with the Volunteer Coordinator.
   
Benefits: Opportunity to assist Health Center in promoting health and preventing disease in the Clay County community.
