Health Education Assistants

Time Commitment:

3-4 hours, dates and times vary
Variety of Clay County community locations                           Weekday and weekend events

   
Major Objective: Staff health education displays and booths at local Clay County events.
   
Duties: ·       Set up displays and booths
·
       Distribute materials to participants
·
       Transport materials to and from Clay County Public Health
        Center
   
Requirements:   ·        Mature, outgoing individual
·
        Ability to follow instructions and work independently
·
        Able to communicate effectively
·
        Enjoys working with various age groups
·
        Willingness to learn
·
        Mileage reimbursement option
   
Training: Basic orientation and on-site staff training.
   
Supervision: Under direct supervision of Health Planning and Promotion Department Program Managers in conjunction with the Volunteer Coordinator.
   
Benefits: Opportunity to assist Health Center in promoting health and preventing disease in the Clay County community.
